Believe it or not, often missions do not succeed because the missionaries fail to 'connect'.  Though they are trained in many ways for their mission, it regularly happens that missionaries are not trained in the most practical way --- a natural way of connecting with the host community.

Farming God's Way methods, permaculture basics, the process of vermiculture, rotational grazing, the use of farm animals, and other methods of increasing food production, conserving water, lessening costs, and improving health for those in developing world cultures are taught at the GoodSoil Farm.  Water purification techniques and tools are introduced too.  An eye-glasses manufacturing kit is also part of the H.O.M.E. effort to provide missionaries with a means to naturally meet and interact with their hosts.

Such access ministries are especially important in these times when more mission efforts are being targeted for dominantly Islamic regions where missionaries must use more creative ways of making contact and introducing the Gospel.
